Why Is IT Outsourcing a Good Thing?

That’s a great question that I, an out-sourcer (NOT to be confused with a “sorcerer,” although I have been called a “dog-gone wizard” when it comes to IT!), LOVE to ask my clients!

So often the idea is that, much like the government turning over certain services to the private sector, there will be immediate cost savings and life will be better forever and ever! ARGH!

Well, living in California and having endured the outsourcing of the electrical grid (!!) and getting taken to the cleaners by other for-profit entities, I know for a fact that everything ISN’T better forever and ever JUST because it was outsourced!
